In 1968 a local man, Bob Cooper, saw the need for a youth team and started
training a Boys Brigade team of Under 13's. This was the beginnings of the Writtle Minors
Football Club. The Club entered the Chelmsford & District Football Mini League in the
1969/1970 season and has since grown to its current size, running a
total of thirteen teams from Under 8`s up to Under 17`s.
